An Article written by Dénes Ruzsa in magazine Képírás

Thank you Dénes Ruzsa for the honourable mention among many wonderful artists!

We would like to thank Dénes Ruzsa, for the mention in his very exciting thesis entitled: Light (art) in space art, published in the magazine of “Képírás” writing on 21.12.2023 (available on kepiras.com website). We are very honoured that he wrote about us among so many great artists!

From the article by Dénes:

“Krisztián Nagy and Csaba Molnár create interactive light objects inspired by scientific research and sci-fi films. The colours of the interactive works can be controlled by remote control or via an app. The colour changes in the light objects are intended to represent the fourth dimension, time, and thus the eternal struggle of complex systems against entropy. (6) Their works are characterised by geometric representation (Gravity, Multiverse, Spacenet). In The Big Bang, they depict the moment of the universe's creation in the form of a triangle, while other works are dominated by figuration, such as a light portrait of Einstein. The rapidly expanding universe, space-time and gravity are recurring themes in their work. In "Multiverse", circular shapes of different sizes are multiplied, transformed from plane to space thanks to the built-in mirror structure. Any variation can be created and repeated in the couple's own multiverse, and this is perceived by the alternating light bands in different parts of the picture, which connect and differentiate the different worlds. "We see representations that evoke cosmic associations, sucking our gaze into the interior of the image, in which light from an indeterminate direction draws out concentric shapes, like the ripples of a stone thrown into a well, space-grids of space sliding into each other like a tower or composed of crystal-like slices, space-time tunnels winding like a tornado around an irrational axis and black holes imagined as the threads of the radiant energy fields of a spiral of light funnelling downwards towards the depths of the image.
